I have the fondest memories of you and your extracurricular driving lessons you took me on all those many years at our many breezewayed Edgemont. I think we both struggled with our education at that time but when I heard the jingle of the 2002 keys held high in your hands a big smile would light up my face and we would take a short break from our books. That was back in the days when the BMWs were a framework of all glass, compact, nimble and fast, just the way we liked them!
My favorite route was that funny named road Nanny Hagen that wove its way around the blue fingers of Kensico Lake, then a hard right onto a brief patch of Rt.120 and a very hard left onto Whippoorwill Road when we let the beamer do her thing and take us way too fast over hill and through dale, past the aerial bridge of the Whippoorwill Club and beyond. I held on for dear life but as always, we were safe in your hands only getting airborne on a couple of hills. Thanks for being a friend and a very good driving instructor! Hopefully I passed as an ok co-pilot or navigator on these trips but my memory fails me, all I remember is holding on and having a very good time of it. RIP Peter Fraser Clark!
