Guido was a gentle soul and a good friend. I will always remember sitting in his room and listening to the song Maggie May -- that was one of his favorites. Everytime I hear the song I can see Guido's smiling face. Another funny memory is of visiting his parent's cabin somewhere in CT I believe. It was the usual suspects, Brenda, Richard T. Bil Blackman and more than likely Richard F. (My memory may be wrong about the people but not the event). It was a cold day probably sometime in the Winter. We went inside the cabin to warm up and lit a fire. Not knowing that the top of the chimney had a rock over it, the place was quickly filled with smoke. We had to put out the fire and open the windows to air everything out. And when that was all over, we made some soup to get warm and I do remember that we were waiting for the soup to stop steaming so we could eat it. We thought it was too hot to eat, but finally after waiting a rather long time, someone was brave enough to try it. It was almost cold. What we hadn't realized is that since the air temp was very, very cold, the soup was much hotter than it causing the steam. Fun times! I will miss Guido and his friendship.
