Lawrence Jacobs

After EHS, I realized that my passion lies on the college campus. Attended grad school of education, and love working as a college counselor, psychology professor. Rutgers is a great place to work.

Community service is awesome. After seeing rusted playgrounds, I founded Kidstreet, the largest modern playground in NJ, in Bridgewater. Take your kids or grandkids there! As result, carried the 1996 US Olympic Torch which was cool. Then started 'Dare2Dream,' motivational program. Spoke at TED Talks Worldwide. And took crazy risk to learn piloting hot air balloons, after one landed in my background.

Greatest journey in life has been with my family. Love my beautiful wife Laura (whom many of you met at reunions), my best friend & soulmate, and we do country music dancing. And since our house wasn’t crazy enough with 4 kids, we had 3 dogs and a bird (good thing I can't hear 'em).

To this day, my memories of EHS are amazing and I share them with my family! So many stories.
- wild '72 prom night we had @ someone's house with a pool (my date was Dawn Alexander)
- xmas week with me dressed as Santa Claus with my 2 tall elves (Stu Soff, Tim O'C). We visited classes, threw candy at the kids
- crazy, fun campaigns for elections for Jeff Korman, for Peter Scolari.
- 70 mile an hour driving in car caravans on Saw Mill River Pkwy to get to football games, jeez.
- suspensions Mr Ross gave to 8 of us for refusing to dissect a frog.
Crazy but good times, good friends!
